The daughter of conductor jacques singer, she was born in corpus christi, texas, and raised in portland, oregon, where her father served as the lead conductor of the oregon symphony from 1962 to 1972.
Lori went on to play the title vocal role as linda bishop in god knows where i am which won toronto hot docs, an emmy and 20 film festivals Lori singer recently starred in rachel hendrix which is to be released in 2024 and won the woodstock film festival in fall of 2023.
