2) is very comfortable to play and sing at the same time, whether in a seated or standing position
Funny thing i've found w/ late night noise constrictions, and me disliking headphones, is that i play my electrics as much unplugged as plugged in I've got a strat, gretsch pro jet, gibson sg classic, cv pine tele, and a chambered gibson lp studio I think the ones that sound best unplugged. I would expect them to sound a bit dull on a flattop compared to acoustic strings of the same gauge, but it depends on your tonal preferences. I like electric guitar better with an unwound 3rd
