Does anyone here use the the automatic foreflight logs as the time you put in your logbook If it's merely wind adjustment, then i wonder why they keep showing up identically.

I've always just used the hobbs but the hobbs for my flight today was 3.2 When i select a route by entering it. Foreflight showed 1.7 on the way up and 1.8 on the way back

That seems like a pretty big difference to me

I started with foreflight, but after a long trip comparing both base versions side by side, i changed over to wingx

Wingx seemed to me to be easier to read and navigate in a bouncing plane with less than optimum screen viewing conditions Comparing the base versions, wingx has far more features and is a better bang for the buck. Foreflight was developed by pilots for pilots I’ve been using foreflight since it was brand new, and it is the most powerful option for the ipad in aviation, imho

I have tried and seen others use the other options Foreflight will work with garmin avionics and others Garmin pilot will only work with garmin. Sorry if already posted, but i am striking out here as my two ipads will soon be obsolete with foreflight

The ipad mini 4 i get as i have gone away from using it, but the air 2

Is anyone else here a little perturbed by this notice Wingx and foreflight, the original and at one time only efb apps are, in ios, probably the best examples of how two apps can cover 90% of the best functions but approach them in completely different ways. Is there a convenient way to use foreflight to identify the correct artcc frequency for picking up vfr flight following when away from a metropolitan area with approach control I did all my flight training at a class d airport within a class c area, so i always picked up ff from the approach.

Here are some articles from scott d For ifr alternate requirements, taf is the official source It's interesting to compare the two and watch what actually happens Sometimes mos is more correct than the taf, and sometimes it forecasts more positive weather.

I've been grounded for a few weeks and decided to show people how they can make their own maps for foreflight so that i had something at least sort of related to aviation to do

I create a map using my drone and also show you how to do it with usgs imagery. I use foreflight and have noticed that their magnetic heading is different than my calculated magnetic heading Anyone versed in foreflight, please help It has been awhile since i have done these calculations manually, so maybe i'm screwing something up
