A link will be shared on the handy discord server and on this post before the start of the event I have found that the african braiding technique pulls more vs the one used by people from the caribbean where i’m from You must own a handy device in order to join the show

🎉multicontrol show today 2:30pm mt with special guest brandi braids
A reminder that there is a multicontrol show today with u/brandibraids at 2:30pm mt For those new to the concept, brandi will be in control of all the handy devices in the audience for the duration of the show. For me seeing her without braids is just strange When she has braids, she just shines
I also used her as my braid inspiration a few times It's kind of like halle berry, for me, she should always have short hair because it really compliments her. Wigs have come a long way They look better and good ones are easier to find
A lot of time brandy’s braids were also wigs.
There's always been an issue with braids since centuries back Braids and other african styles were viewed as trashy, unprofessional, ugly, etc and there was discrimination in the workplace, women were turned down or fired for wearing braids Whenever there's anti (anything black), it almost always has roots in colonialism/slavery/ post slavery. She used braided wigs at one point and braided human hair
All through high school i did braided human hair in single plaits like this and never had an issue with my edges as she developed, it depends on technique
