Saying this, i have done multiple bookings through multiple aggregators on tripadvisor, never had an issue. I called tripadvisor and they said to ignore the message and that it was something their system was automatically sending out in error, but i’m worried my tour will be canceled and/or the tour company i booked with isn’t trustworthy Tripadvisor has jumped the shark unfortunately and ceased being of any use some years ago

To be honest most of the travel sites reviews are barely worth reading anymore, and i am finding that requests for info are more reliable on reddit because you can frame the questions exactly as you need it
For several years i've been a loyal user of tripadvisor, and have posted many reviews there
But i'm noticing that nowadays many businesses and attractions seem to have significantly more google reviews than tripadvisor reviews Is tripadvisor being completely blown away by google reviews Do any of you still even contribute reviews to tripadvisor Or use its reviews to make travel decisions.
I always used to use viator but since tripadvisor acquired them there are way too many options And when the pandemic hit i had 4 upcoming tours that they refunded me for immediately no questions asked. Google has spots like train/bus stations I usually check their reviews for safety/security concerns.
I'd say tripadvisor is a good place to start
I use it for my research and the reviews are honest and you can find some good hotel deals and interesting locations / venues to visit R/travel is a community about exploring the world Your pictures, questions, stories, or any good content is welcome The tripadvisor best list if filled with chinese properties and the worst list is filled with american properties
I have used tripadvisor for some time now, and began noticing suspicious reviews a couple years ago It's fairly easy to read 'between the lines,' and if the reviewer is a new user that raises a warning flag.
