Granted they also told me it’s $90 for an oil change (i change the oil myself)
I see the vehicle need dexron vi but any idea how much it needs I know i can drain it. Fluid wont flow that way in a transmission These fluid exchanger machines are plugged inline into the cooler lines and use the transmission's own pump to do all the pumping normal flow path, while the engine idles
It is the most efficient way of getting the old fluid out and new fluid back in with minimal mixing of the two. I am just getting ready to change the transmission fluid on my 2010 nox I have been told that 50,000 miles is a good mileage Do you change the transfer case fluid then or what mileage do you do this service at?

Drained out the old fluid, connect a drain tube to the oil cooler (royal pia) and flushed new fluid through until it comes out the tube cherry red I didn’t expect too much of a performance change but it does shift smoother now Yes, you absolutely need to change the transmission fluid Oil does not exist that does not break down, burn, or get contaminated, especially the conventional transmission fluid gm uses for factory fills.
When i bought our '15 equinox 3 years ago, i was a confused when i read the manual which said the car had a sealed transmission which didn't require any service until 250,000 km and if it started leaking to take it to your dealer. I am having a hard time finding out where the transmission filter is located. Do i need to drop the pan to locate it I can find many discussions on the fluid change which is not my issue

When i was about to order it on rockauto it said it would be. The gm tech told me that for the flush it need 8 quarts of tranny fluid and 45 min of time as they don't change the filter (on 07 nox) because it is an inline filter.
