Installed windows 10 and everything was going fine If i get a new key. Then all of a sudden the start button, search bar, cortana and edge stopped working.

This key was an unlimited activation key Now i'm curious as to how this will work when upgrading to windows 10 Do i get a windows 10 specific key or will the operating system use the old key when upgrading
