If depop doesn't know how to manage the security of its customers, then they should simply copy amazon or ebay in terms of protecting customers from scams. So i thought i needed to follow I just started selling on depop and i’m still learning the works

Ive seen that depop allows a maximum of 5 tags per post
When you say “put a paragraph of relevant tags at the bottom of the listing”, do you mean with or without hashtags
Also, for relisting, do you mean editing and post Or making a whole other identical post and deleting the original Depop states an average shipping time on the sellers home page which is a good indicator of seller reliability I also think you can tell what a seller is like if you ask them questions before the sale and they reply relatively quickly and their replies are appropriate to the question asked.
I find it insanely hard to sell on depop because in canada there’s no depop shipping and usually shipping through canada post is too expensive for it to be worth it for the buyer so even if someone messages me about something they can’t justify buying because the shipping price is so high which i don’t blame them I’ve sold a few things but i get most of my sales from vinted & poshmark. Depop pushes sellers to offer free shipping, and there seems to be a lot of posts here of people saying a listing sneakily changed to free shipping rather than buyer pays shipping You can get around this by actually offering free shipping, but adding the cost of shipping into the item.
I sell on depop + poshmark as a way to clear out my closet
For me, it is personally worth it I have just signed up to depop and been looking at some listings but having just discovered this reddit group i'm having second thoughts about even using it Just seems like a bunch of kids using it and either not sending things or not leaving feedback It looks like a right mess
Is this the normal experience for people or does it work for some? Take advantage of all depop's resources, including youtube videos, training materials, and learning from others on the platform Pay attention to the emails you receive Craft item descriptions that provide thorough details, styling suggestions, and emphasize the uniqueness of each piece to evoke a fear of missing out (fomo).
That person then asked me to email depop through this email that she has
And that person kept asking me to email depop and let her know when i sent it Bc her money was on hold And 500 bucks was not a small amount
