@aprogdirector had a thread long time ago where he mentioned that some filters are easily done like names, but others are hard to like attempts I submitted my application on september 2nd I believe the eras system keeps improving and would like to know if such filters exist/how.

Everything you said i agree with
But when you rank a applicant if you look at the pd eras handbook
Step 3 has a 2 times higher points than other steps So having a strong step 3 score and excellent ite scores actually does matter Since the system is fair Is the system that ultimately ranks.
The pdws overview on eras does not talk about all the possibilities.thanks for your help.well i honestly think that if eras makes filters they should return the 25 $.filters are an excuse for the program not to post their true requirements on their website.hence the applicant is paying 25$ for his application to be automatically trashed As someone who has read most of the eras pdws user guide, this response is as annoying as it is correct Nearly every program uses filters (especially medicine) to cut down the application pool to a manageable size Some are very relaxed and will only filter out people who have egregious problems like felony convictions
Others are more stringent such as minimum board scores or research.
Eras 2011 has specified loads of categories for publications, i.e The eras data filter allows you to screen sensitive information from view during the application evaluation process You may screen birth date, birth place, citizenship, limitations, felony conviction, gender, photograph, race/ethnicity, social security number, and visa status. I don't have that many, but i'm not sure what to put
Travel awards ($500 to defray cost of attending a scientific meeting) What kind of things do people list Basically, i'm a reapplicant via eras and have just started a job that i want to add on my cv part of the eras application
