Experian, however, have been dragging their feet on this and required the user to input their name, address, dob, ssn, pin, etc every single time you wanted to freeze, thaw, or schedule a thaw If you freeze your kids' credit, it will create an empty record in their databases, with name, dob, etc Not sure if it's mentioned here or not but in case it hasn't, if you want to open an experian account to easily freeze and unfreeze your credit, be extra vigilant when signing up

I wasn't paying attention and thought the questions they were asking was just part of the process, turns out in addition to a free account, i signed up to a online banking account
