Fyi, we got a letter in january and i called my local wells fargo branch to check it out They were able to confirm that the phone number on the letter was a real wf number I couldn't get the people that answered the number to volunteer a lot of info
They did not ask me for any identifying information other than a number printed on the letter they sent us I knew they'd fucked a lot of. Wells fargo is much better The app is better, the customer service is better, and everything including online payments, external bank transfers, and zelle work better with wells fargo.
Weird wells fargo call is this a scam
Just got a call from the wells fargo cs number (800 956 4442) they told me someone tried to open an account in my name and deposit a check from boa, they also informed me that someone tired to use zelle and send two different amounts over 1k. I just got call from wells fargo too, about $4000 dollars charge, after just taking to them for few seconds i realized it was a scam, be careful don't give anyone your information. Just called wf and asked to get my credit limit increased from $1300 to $5000 on my active cash card (it automatically got product changed from whatever the yellow one was) since i’ve had the account for years, and always make my payments on time and in full For context i also have a chase freedom flex with a $5200 limit and a citi custom cash with a $6900 limit (nice)
