I'm interested in doing some data mining and messing around with.sav files for games, but i'm not quite sure where to begin From time to time things might have bugs here and there but they work them out I can convert the.sav binary file to hex, but i'm not quite sure how to go from there.

Yes, by simply renaming the file extension and removing the e in save, so it's sav Sounds ridiculously straightforward, but it's that simple I've done it with several emulators, and most of the time, it works. I'd like to know if it's possible to convert a save of a 3ds game from the.sav format to.bin, so i can use that save in checkpoint
I figured i'd ask here I can only find a.sav version of the game i'm looking for, and i don't know how to make use of a.sav file. Searching here did not really come up with a solid answer, as it was suggested i change the file name, but just changing the file extension from.sav to.srm did not work (the file is not recognized by the game). I spent forever looking for a solution to this problem
I ended up actually being able to convert the file from.dsz to.sav with just the built in ios “files” app
Saved backup from dsplayer emulator on iphone to ios files app then simply edited the file name from dsz to sav and it will prompt asking if you are sure you want to change file type, click “use.sav” and then i also edited. I have a ton of domains with them Response time to tickets is about 24 hours
