The ultrasonic waves in the cleaner are supposed to lift everything off, but a retainer or denture cleaner tablet or little soap helps soften and loosen the stuff on the dentures and helps it all lift off a bit better. I'm looking into a record cleaner to help clean my records and was leaning towards an ultrasonic record cleaner
