That makes sense, every file has to be associated with a quicken id, the old files just haven't been associated with a qid yet, so the login is needed.

I'm looking for something that allows you to quickly upload and download files without any login I found this app, but it hasn't been updated in over 7 years so i'm hesitant to use it

If you wish to share your box files to your clients without requiring them to sign up for a box account, you may create a shared link with link access set to people with the link
Anyone with the link can access the item and no box account is required. By default, google drive doesn’t let you create a form or folder where people can simply drop files—especially if they don’t have a google account With google forms users must be logged in with a google account to upload files. You can create a google form that does not require signing in to google (that is, the user can fill in the form anonymously)
