Every october the aia and archaeological organizations around the world present archaeological programs and activities for people of all ages and interests. Each year we coordinate a global celebration of archaeology and archaeological discoveries that encourages people to participate in archaeological events and to learn more about the work being done around the world. International archaeology day, officially held on the third saturday, but fêted throughout the month of october, is a celebration of archaeology and the thrill of discovery.
