Already changed two wheel bearings, a cv axle, and transmission mount to no effect
Finally fixed by replacing other front bearing despite elsewhere on the internet saying it wasn't the culprit

Fri mar 21, 2003 1:19 pm location This is my first car and i don't have much experience working on cars so apologies if i am a tad slow on these things I have been doing some research on my car ever since i got it about 3 days ago now. Fantastic thread, used it on my vibe
The principle is there, and when i went to my local advanced auto parts the parts guru said he used to use this same trick back in his day, so i was sold.
Have a 2009 vibe, 2.4l engine, 5 speed auto trans with about 72,000km Last month my speed sensitive power steering failed intermitently The problem had fixed itself when i got in for the service appointment The dealership found some trouble codes in the computer (u0100, c1541, c1528) but couldn't replicate the problem
The problem has come and gone a few times since then and has failed. One vibe you can hear it coming because the engine fan is turning so fast I’ve swapped the fans between cars and the problem stays the same The vibe engine fan has 2 speeds
When the defrost or ac is on it’s on low speed and when the engine temp rises the fan will go to a higher speed.
