Weird wells fargo call is this a scam Just got a call from the wells fargo cs number (800 956 4442) they told me someone tried to open an account in my name and deposit a check from boa, they also informed me that someone tired to use zelle and send two different amounts over 1k.
A few weeks after an elderly relative had her wells fargo card compromised (we got charges reversed), she got a call from wells fargo fraud department, checking to be sure she had received her new card
Then they asked her to read them the numbers on the new card so they could activate some security measures Of course, it was the scammers again. Anyone have any experience with opening a new checking account with wells fargo that opted for the $300 bonus that can give an idea as to time frame… Personally, my only issues with wells fargo over the years have been understaffed tellers at the local branch leading to long waits, bad css on their website (though the mobile app is pretty good), my debit card never showing up and having unauthorized transactions on it (like how did it even get activated??).
